KAPSARC is a mixed-use development comprising a research facility, conference centre and library and specialising in the exploration of sustainable energy technology. The cellular structure of the building responds to the environmental conditions and functional constraints of its location in the desert. The organic form is adaptive and each unit is differentiated in size creating a series of interior sheltered courtyards as well as shaded outside spaces. KAPSARC is aiming for LEED Platinum.
